Meeting Youth “where they’re at”: My guest post for Jonathan F. Sullivan

I’m a few days overdue in sharing this, since last week was devoted to sharing old work while I slave away over my latest writing project.

When Jonathan F. Sullivan asked me to guest post on his blog about catechesis, I was nervous. The work that he shares over there – both his and his guests – is really impressive! I put on my “religious educator” hat and got down to it, hoping to find something worth sharing.

I ended up writing about an element of religious education and formation about which I feel really strongly: avoiding the “dumbing-down” of religion, and so respecting both our students and the Gospel. I’m so grateful to Jonathan for the inspiration and for sharing my work.

MFA ExteriorIt all begins with a trip to the MFARead more.
