A great writer and IBD advocate, Colitis Ninja writes one of the most helpful blogs I have found in the wide world of chronic illness blogs. I can honestly say it’s not a world I ever expected to be exploring, but the fact that it has brought me into contact with such wonderful people is a consolation. She asked me to write about my “elevator speech”, the quick explanation of illness I give when asked about Crohn’s disease.
I thought that sitting down would help, but even after I settled onto the chorus bench on stage, I was still light headed and sweating more than I should have been on the late summer day. Our chorus manager saw me with my head between my legs and came through the stage right door to help me off the risers and off stage into a chair. Read more.
